DEVELOPMENT PIPELINE
East Hollywood has 233 units currently under construction, a significant reduction from recent development levels. Only 98 units began construction in 2025, and CoStar reports that no new projects had started during 2026 as of the report date.
This follows an unusually large wave of supply, including the recently completed 735-unit development at 5420 W. Sunset Boulevard, developed by American Commercial Equities.
The largest current project is Voltaire Villas (72 units), while the largest proposed project is a 251-unit development at 1350 N. Western Avenue associated with The Georgetown Company.
TENANT PROFILE
East Hollywood proper has a large immigrant and younger renter population and comparatively lower household incomes. Its relative affordability and central location also attract young professionals.
